Your first board connection
Start with a connection you can verify before asking an agent to change anything.
Connect an MCP host
- Open your host’s remote MCP settings and add the server URL below. Choose Streamable HTTP where a transport is requested.
- If your host supports VYBSRF’s OAuth flow, follow its sign-in prompt and approve the requested permissions on VYBSRF.
- Ask the agent to list your boards. An empty list is a valid result for a new account.
https://vybsrf.com/mcpAgent connections has connection options and lets you create or revoke a scoped key. Hosts that do not support this OAuth flow can use a Bearer agent key if they support custom authorization headers. No repository checkout or local bridge is needed for the hosted server.
Try a deliberate collection
List my VYBSRF boards first. Then create a private board called “Reference study”.
Save https://example.org/reference with the note “A reference to review”.
Tell me which board and pin you created. Do not buy, publish or upload anything. The example URL is a placeholder: replace it with the public HTTPS page you actually want to save. Creating a board needs boards:write; collecting a reference also needs references:write. For later recall, grant boards:read and references:read.
Prefer HTTP?
Create a key with the needed scopes at /agents. Keep it in your host’s secret storage or inject it into your shell environment as VYBSRF_AGENT_KEY. These read-only requests assume that variable is already set:
curl --fail-with-body 'https://vybsrf.com/api/me' \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $VYBSRF_AGENT_KEY"
curl --fail-with-body 'https://vybsrf.com/api/boards?limit=12' \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $VYBSRF_AGENT_KEY"Check the returned credential_type and scopes, then continue with the HTTP examples. Never put a live key in a prompt, shared document, URL or source file.
