Tools for collection and recall

The hosted MCP server exposes tools according to the connection’s granted permissions.

https://vybsrf.com/mcp

Use Streamable HTTP with OAuth or a Bearer agent key. The endpoint is stateless and POST-only: it does not provide a persistent GET event stream or session-deletion endpoint. Each request contains one JSON-RPC message and is bounded to 64 KiB; JSON-RPC batches are refused. Let your host’s MCP client handle discovery and protocol negotiation.

ToolWhat it doesRequired scopes
list_boardsList one page of boardsboards:read
create_boardCreate a private boardboards:write
collect_referenceSave a public HTTPS reference and noteboards:write + references:write
collect_owned_uploadPin an existing owned uploadboards:write + references:write + uploads:read
collect_discovered_imagePin an eligible catalogue imageboards:write + references:write + inspiration:read
recall_boardRead a bounded slice of saved pins and notesboards:read + references:read
discover_inspirationRequest catalogue images for a topic or boardinspiration:read; board_id also needs boards:read
read_owned_imageRead one existing owned imageuploads:read
read_discovered_imageRead one eligible catalogue imageinspiration:read
browse_feedBrowse a page of the home feed (museum works and VYBSRF pixel art); read-onlyinspiration:read
read_feed_pictureRead one home-feed picture (WebP, up to 736 px wide)inspiration:read

Browse the feed, then catch

browse_feed returns a page of the home page's pictures (ask for 12–48; a page can hold fewer, so continue with next_cursor), with each one's credit, license and source, and catch: the links to pass to collect_reference to save it to a board. It records nothing. Look at a picture with read_feed_picture first.

Start with metadata; request images deliberately

Collection and recall return metadata. The image-reading tools explicitly fetch an image and can return a native MCP image block. Uploading new image bytes is not a hosted MCP tool. No hosted MCP tool spends money or publishes content.

discover_inspiration is a write operation: it records a Drop and the returned images as seen by the account, despite the inspiration:read scope name. Results may be empty. Do not use it for a passive health check or silently repeat it after an uncertain result.

Respect continuation and write outcomes

list_boards returns at most 50 boards per call. recall_board returns at most 24 pins, defaults to 12, and scans at most 100. Its optional query is a literal substring of title, note or purpose. Follow next_cursor with the same query; an empty page may still have a continuation.

Collect tools derive a stable request_id when you omit one. Preserve a supplied request ID when retrying the same collection. create_board is not idempotent, so check before recreating a board after an uncertain result.

Catalogue discovery changes seen state

discover_inspiration requests 12–24 catalogue images and can return fewer or none. It records delivery and seen state; treat it as a state-changing discovery action, not a read-only lookup.

Missing a tool?

Check the connection’s granted scopes. A narrow key intentionally exposes fewer tools. Ask the person to approve the needed permission rather than borrowing another credential. Authentication details · Manage connections
